There is a revolution going on in dog training. Up until the last decade, most Professional dog trainers believed they could not completely train a dog to off leash control without applying some type of pain, considerable discomfort, or loud verbal reprimands. This thinking has been slowly changing as trainers have realized that using harsh corrections is not the most effective way to teach behaviors to a dog.
Through understanding and applying the principles behind behavior and operant conditioning, the trainers at GRDT know that old-style techniques aren’t effective and can harm the trust between you and your dog.
GRDT’s trainers teach you to use the principles of Operant and Classical conditioning to teach & reward the behaviors that you want from your dog and stop the ones you don’t.
The methods we teach strengthen the relationship between you and your dog.
Unlike harsher methods that are heavily equipment-based and rely on split-second timing, GRDT’s methods are very forgiving of the owners skill levels and are not harmful to your pet.
Our clients experience success quickly and easily adapt our training techniques to successfully communicate with their dogs in the home environment. We teach REAL TRAINING which addresses real life situations, such as greeting people politely, chewing on appropriate toys, walking politely on leash, coming when called.
